Pressing Forward.....

Yesterday we finally received the papers we have been waiting on from the biological mom.  So today I paid the visa application fee online and now we just have to plan our trip to New Orleans to either get the passport for Michell or get the paper Martin will have to sign to send back to Honduras so her mom can get her passport.  It seems like everything has really moved fast with this whole process.  It's hard to believe that we just started this the first of July and we are almost to the point of our interview in Honduras.  We were hoping for a December interview date but it's looking more likely that it will be January.  Whatever the date we are ready to complete this process and finally have her home with us.  Martin talked to her on the phone again last night and she is so cute.  She keeps reminding him that he has to come get her on a big airplane.

School has been keeping me busy lately so that has been a welcomed break from obsessing over this.  I had midterms last week and will complete my last one this week.  Still trying to plan Micah's first birthday party which we are hoping to have in a couple of weeks.  He is really starting to walk now so he is all over the place.  It's hard to believe that there will be two sets of little feet running around here very soon.  Hard to believe but we are ready and can't wait!

Hopefully Back On Track....

So I havent updated in a few days.  Last post i had paid fee and emailed/mailed form that had to be
completed.  On Monday this week i found out that the fee i had paid last week had been rejected.  I called and they told me that they didnt show i had ever tried to pay it so try again.  So i get back on and try to pay it again and then wait another 2 - 3 days to see if it is accepted.  I called about the form i had emailed because we never got a response and was told they couldnt accept emailed forms for Honduras.....ugh (nothing seems to be going my way at this point)  Luckily i had mailed a copy too so then it was just waiting to see if they accept it.

So fast forward to today.  Received an email this morning saying they accepted our form which means now they can invoice us for the other fee we have to pay.  They also accepted our payment so now we can send in our affadavits and proof of support for her.  I'm trying to complete all of this so i can overnight it on Monday next week.  Once that is completed and we have been invoiced for the next fee we have another packet of forms and proof that we have to send in and then we are done at the National Visa Center.  (of course that is IF they accept everything i send and dont request anything else)  Once we are finished at the NVC it will be transferred to Honduras and I will finally feel like we are in the home stretch.

In the meantime i am trying to keep up with school which i am still doing full time and take care of our little man who turns 1 on Sunday.  Can't believe how fast this first year has gone by.  We are leaving today to head to Dallas for the weekend to spend some time with the big kids.  Cant wait to see them.

We did get to see Michell yesterday via web chat.  She was really cute.  She still doesnt recognize Martin by his face but as soon as he started talking to her she got the biggest smile on her face and said "Hola Poppy!"  I can't wait until we can finally see her in person.  This is definately harder than being pregnant.  At least with that you know when to expect the baby or at least you have a due date.  With this process we are waiting and waiting and waiting and dont know if it will ever really happen.  So we do the one thing we can do pray and believe.
